Risk Assessments - Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)

corner

What If? - Hazard Risk Number - Fault Tree Analysis - Failure Mode Analysis - Preliminary Hazard Analysis - Safety Statements

The objective of PHA is to identify, for a specified system or piece of equipment, the hazards presented throughout its lifecycle. It identifies the potential for dangerous incidents and the positive controls implemented to mitigate same.

The method is more qualitive in nature, however it must be addressed on a continuous basis throughout the machinery build and commissioning stage. It is a common tool to be used in the preliminary use of the ‘What if’ application.

It is a particularly useful tool during the design/construction stage, i.e. pre-client delivery.

J. G. Munro & Associates are experienced engineers, carrying out such risk assessments, in the minimum possible time at the most economical costs.
