Forensic Engineering home - Employers Liability - Public Liability - Courts - Accidents - Evidence

There are principally three different courts that are involved with litigation, i.e. personal injury cases, namely: -

The Courts* District Court
* Circuit Court
* High Court

There are of course other venues available to potential or aggrieved litigants or defendants that require more concentrated applications, for example the Supreme Court or the European Court of Justice.

In Ireland, we now have the newly appointed Personal injuries Accident Board (PIAB) that is designed to reduce the costs involved in accident claims.

Whilst we do not anticipate that all people will end up giving evidence in court, experience has shown that at the some time in an engineers or employer's life, an individual will be required to give evidence.

We at JGMA have developed a workshop course aimed at preparing individuals for court work.
