CE Certification home - Machinery - Low Voltage - Pressure Equipment - ATEX - Technical Files The Pressure Equipment Directive was issued on 29th May 1997 and required all Member States to transpose it into national legislation within two years. A further two years was extended to allow for equipment to be marketed and put into service after 29th May 2002 providing that they complied with any relevant provisions that they would normally have had to comply with at that time . After the 29th May 2002 all equipment covered by the scope of the Directive must comply with the requirements of the Directive.
